Connector

This section describes the Connector module of IATA MRO SmartHub. The Connector provides the workflows for trading parts between companies on the platform, covering both the buying side (search, shopping cart, demands) and the selling side (inventory, requests).

The two roles share a common cart workflow: a buyer’s shopping cart line and a seller’s request line are two views of the same record, with a shared status, side drawer and message chat per line. See Cart workflow for the full lifecycle.

Concepts

Marketplace:

Unified search and listings view. Direct listings, interchangeable parts (alternates), PMA parts and auction parts are presented together. See Marketplace.

Cart line:

Every part added to a shopping cart creates a cart line. The same record is visible to the buyer (Shopping cart) and the seller (Requests). See Cart workflow.

Cart chat:

Each cart line has a dedicated buyer/seller chat thread, capturing both manual messages and automatic system messages for key workflow events. See Cart chat.

Visibility:

Listings can be published to all following companies (Default for Connector) or to selected customers. Customer-specific prices are expressed by including one row per (part, customer) combination in the inventory upload. See Visibility & customer-specific pricing.

Free-of-charge listings:

Listings may be published without a price (e.g. for parts available on request). The price column shows - and the action button switches from Buy to RFQ. See Free-of-charge listings.

Trading channels:

Bilateral connections between companies. See What are trading channels and how can they be created?.
