Asset manager¶
This manual is intended for all users of the IATA MRO SmartHub Asset Manager module, including:
Project Owners who set up teardown projects - defining scope, uploading documentation, and inviting participants—then manage bidding and settlement.
Participants (internal and external) who receive invitations to review asset categories and submit price proposals.
The Asset Manager module can be accessed by clicking Asset Manager in the main menu bar of MRO SmartHub. It is designed to centralize and simplify the purchase and teardown of aircraft or engines by coordinating both internal and external participants around customizable asset categories.
As a Project Owner, you can:
Create and configure teardown projects
Define asset categories (for example, with or without engines and APU)
Publish project updates and communicate with participants
Invite and manage participant access
Monitor bidding rounds and finalize selections
As a Participant, you can:
Receive invitations to one or more asset categories
Review detailed asset information and documentation
Submit, update, or withdraw price proposals during open bidding phases
The main process is split into five phases - Setup, Internal Bidding, General Bidding, Settlement, and Finalization - each representing a distinct project state. Depending on your role and affiliation (same company vs. external), you will interact with specific phases in different ways. Detailed step-by-step instructions for each phase are provided in the Project Owner and Participant sections, respectively.
