Overview

IATA MRO SmartHub is a neutral web-based platform enabling airlines, MRO service providers, OEMs, and appraisers to gain a greater transparency of the surplus aftermarket plus real-time access to fair market values (FMV) for aircraft parts. Airlines and MRO service providers are expected to eliminate 10-15% of their material cost through the use of the platform.

Scope of Free-of-Charge (FOC) Accounts

IATA MRO SmartHub offers free-of-charge (FOC) accounts to provide users with basic access to its platform, including select features of the Connector and Auctioneer modules. These accounts are ideal for users who wish to explore the platform’s capabilities before committing to a paid subscription.

Connector Module

Users with FOC access to the Connector module can view various part listings, including outright sales and exchange offers. However, their capabilities are restricted:

  • Part searches are limited to 5 searches per day.

  • Wild-card searches are not available, reducing flexibility in searching for multiple parts or partial matches.

  • Exchange listing details may have additional viewing limitations.

To unlock unrestricted access to the Connector module, users can upgrade to a paid package. For details, please contact IATA (How to contact IATA?).

Auctioneer Module

FOC accounts provide users with free access to participate as bidders in auctions hosted on IATA MRO SmartHub. This includes viewing auction lots, placing bids, and receiving notifications about bidding outcomes.

  • No additional setup or subscription is required to participate in auctions as a bidder.

  • Tutorials and resources to assist bidders can be found at Auctioneer.

Note

While FOC accounts provide limited access, they are an excellent way to explore the platform’s features. Users looking for more comprehensive access and functionality are encouraged to review the available subscription packages.
