Onboarding process

The onboarding process ensures that new customers are enabled to use all features of the IATA MRO SmartHub efficiently. The structure and elements of the onboarding process differ based on the modules that are in the scope of the new customer.

Kick-off meeting

The first step in the onboarding process is a kick-off meeting. This will take place soon after the contractual aspects have been completed. During this kick-off meeting, IATA and Opremic will designate an individual onboarding manager that will guide the new customer through the onboarding process and will be the point of contact.

The agenda of the kick-off meeting includes:

  • Introductions - Get to know each other and introduce the responsible persons during the onboarding processs at IATA/Opremic and the new customer.

  • Individual onboarding plan - A presentation of the individual onboarding plan and scheduling of the first/all training sessions.

  • Data contribution for Evaluator - (Only relevant if Evaluator module is in your scope.) Introduction to technical possibilities and requirements to contribute data to the IATA MRO SmartHub.

  • Open part for customer questions - Open part to cover any questions with regards to the onboarding or usage of the IATA MRO SmartHub.

Training sessions

The user training for the different roles and modules is an important part of the onboarding process. In this section, the content and target groups for the different training sessions are specified.

Note

To organize the training sessions as interactive as possible, customers are asked to prepare some use cases, questions, and invididual requirements upfront. A specification of these requirements is also outlined in the following parts for the different sessions. In addition to that, some topics will be live sessions where users can share their screen and the required tasks are completed live on the IATA MRO SmartHub. The relevant agenda points are marked with (Live).

Which of the training sessions are relevant for a new customer depends on the scope of their contracts.

# 1 - Administration training

This session targets the future company administrators of the IATA MRO SmartHub for the new customer. Companies on the IATA MRO SmartHub are able to administrate user accounts, company settings, trading relations on their own. The users responsible for these tasks are called company administrators.

Required material & tasks upfront of training

  • To complete a company profile during the training session, please prepare a short summary of your company, a company logo, and the general terms of service (either as a PDF file or as a URL).

  • To manage user accounts during the training session, please have at least one user registered to IATA MRO SmartHub under https://mrosmarthub.iata.org/registration.

# 2 - Connector training

This session targets all potential users that will use the Connector module for purchasing or selling material.

Required material & tasks upfront of training

  • Identify all persons within the company that will work with the Connector

  • Let the users register and manage the accounts for the participants to enable access to the Connector

  • Complete the company profile on IATA MRO SmartHub, if not already done during company administration training.

  • If possible, follow at least one other company

  • To upload sales inventory, prepare the CSV template that can be downloaded from IATA MRO SmartHub with part and pricing information.

# 3 - Evaluator training

This training session is dedicated to the regular users of IATA MRO SmartHub. After completing the session, they are enabled to make use of all features and benefits of the Evaluator module to valuate single parts or complete lists of parts.

Note

The Evaluator training requires a completed data contribution. To demonstrate the different use cases in IATA MRO SmartHub, it is necessary to have the customer’s data integrated into the platform.

Required material & tasks upfront of training

  • Identify all persons within the company that will work with the Evaluator.

  • Let the users register and manage the accounts for the participants to enable access to the Evaluator.

  • Collect use-cases that are part of your daily business and that should be addressed with the Evaluator.

  • A part list for the material list evaluation. The template can be downloaded from IATA MRO SmartHub.

# 4 - Consignment training

This session targets all potential users that will use the Consignment module for managing consignment projects.

# 5 - Auctioneer training

Q&A / Feedback meeting

As questions may arise during the regular daily work, the training and onboarding process includes a Q&A / feedback session that will be scheduled 4-5 weeks after starting to use the IATA MRO SmartHub. The content and structure of this session is completely driven by the customer and their experiences with the platform.

  • Collect all questions/issues that arise while using the platform

  • Collect use cases that should be addressed together with the trainer to learn how to use the platform

We will collect these topics and prepare the training session to answer your questions. Sending the questions upfront is not required, it is also possible to ask questions during the session.

Initial data contribution (Evaluator)

In order to have access to the Evaluator module, customers are required to provide their transaction history to the IATA MRO SmartHub as outlined in Evaluator. This section describes the proceeding for the initial data contribution and the technical ways to transfer the data.
